...I love Kristy.


she got me playing rockband with her and Brian, and I didn't realize how late it was getting.

once it was past midnight, she made sure I knew what time it was, and then they started getting ready for bed...she's been dragging ass since about 7, so I think she did it to keep me distracted ^_^;;

just gotta make it 24 hours now, and then I can be happy that I was just being paranoid.

until NEXT June 24th:(

okay, so a major dampener on the whole moving thing.

now we don't know how close the sell is to being made. it's possible it won't happen at all...which, now, I'm hoping for.

and here's where the dampener is:

depending on where we go, Kristy says I might have to find my cats a new home.

I told her that isn't an option. I've fought too long for them to give up now. I told her I will find another job to work after hours if I have to so I can pay for my own apartment. I'll be dead on my feet by the time I get home, but I will do what I have to.

I already lost Shizuka...I didn't have a choice there. his time with me came to an end, and that's that. I am NOT going to lose these two due to something that I CAN control.

I would be okay with giving Spiky to my sister, cause I know she loves him, and he adores her, but it'd be like pulling hen's teeth to get Dave to agree to it.

*sighs* I guess we'll see.

I dunno if I already mentioned this, but...

I started following playfirst on twitter a good while ago, and started talking to the person that posts for them (she's the only one, apparently). not too long after, she invited me to be a beta tester for them.

basically, they send me a game that isn't quite finished yet; I play what's done so far and then tell them my thoughts/opinions/suggestions/etc. so far, I've only done one, but it was fun, and the story is interesting, so I'm waiting to see how that one goes.

today, I got an email from bigfish games asking me to beta one of their games.

bigfish carries some of playfirsts' games, but the one they sent isn't one of them, and I'm pretty sure playfirst doesn't share their info, so I can only guess that I was either picked randomly, or because I've been a member of the site for so long.

dunno, but...yeah. interesting, lol.

hey, my mom's not a player...she just crushes a lot.

bro in law is apparently trying to get in my good graces? lol, I told him I needed an insanely cheap video card, and that I would give him my credit card number so he could order it for me, but he said he'll see what he can find and pay for it, then I can just pay sis back the next time I see her.

on the downside, everyone here is sick.

Kristy's BEEN sick, and Koda suddenly spiked a 104 degree temperature saturday night. she ended up throwing up on Kristy x_x. They almost took her to the ER, but they got it down to 102 with medicine and cool rags.

now her temp is going back and forth between 100 & 101. :( Brian and I are both running a low grade fever, and Kristy and I are coughing our lungs out >.<

...this is the longest the comp has stayed on today...*waiting for the melt down*

gah.

my mom just got back from visiting her sister (my aunt douche-bag), and, as usual sent out a mass email/newsletter telling us about the visit. Normally, I'm like "*headdesk*". I mean, I love to read and all, but...damn.

this time, however, she included a couple gems:

"which reminds me, i read something in readers digest while at marys that you who know me will get a kick out of (the ones who know i tend to speed). it seems that this grown daughter was riding with her mother who likes to speed and was pulled over by a policeman. the mother said to the officer, "well,officer, i ve never been pulled over like this before." he said, "how did they do it before, shoot your tires out?"

i laughed over that one for hours. i think i better start getting me a snappy retort just in case somebody decides to say this to me. i think i might say, "Oh, was that what they were doing?"
the other funny thing i read was about a lady in line waiting to get her picture back at the dmv. when they handed it to her she said, "This is a hideous picture. it doesnt look a thing like me." the woman behind her snatched it out of her hand saying, "thats because it's me." whoa!!!!"

*winces* ouch, for both of those women, lol.

I don't care what anyone says.

yes, kids are loud, obnoxious, and annoying as hell most of the time, but...there's something incredibly satisfying when a child learns to read their first word, and you realize that you're the one that helped them on that first step of actual knowledge.

on another note, I got my new phone:D not entirely happy cause it's not the one I wanted, but it'll do. I'll update with my new number in a few~

...I'm amused.

I forget if I mentioned about the guys from the fire safety department (or whatever-rf they are) that came by the place to check out our smoke detectors/sprinklers, but um...yeah.

Monday:
Kristy came down to tell me that a guy would be coming down to the apartment to check the detectors, and then pretty much went into a full description of him. this color hair, this color eyes, this color shirt and pants, style of pants, has a russian-ish accent, etc etfc.

halfway through, I'm like "okay, so basically...don't kill him when he comes to the door?"
"well...ask who he is and who's he with, and if it's that guy...yeah, don't kill him."
"...ooookay."

10-15mins later, Brian comes down to tell me that they're gonna be setting off the fire alarms in the house so they can test them...and that the guy is gonna be coming down...to the house.

me: "...okay...Kristy already told me..."
him: "well, she told me to remind you, so.."
me: *sweatdrops*



10-15mins later, the alarms go off, and I'm making sure the kids are okay (good lord those things are loud), and Brian comes back...AGAIN.

Brian: "hey, he's coming here"
me: "..." (um, yeah...I KNOW...)
*watches Brian walk through the house to his room*
*notices that he didn't shut the door behind him*
*peeks outside*
man matching Kristy's description is standing about 5-10 feet away looking kinda like a mix between:

he came over once I smiled at him and made a comment about the alarms being loud. looked outside again, and there's another guy standing between the house and Brian's truck, had the same uniform as the other guy, so I nodded to him, and it was like that was what he was waiting for. he came over closer to the house, but still wouldn't go in.

I was amused cause all I could think was "...wtf, did Kristy tell them I'd kill them if they sneezed wrong or something?"



well, I finally asked her tonight if she had warned them about me or something, and she said "...um, well..yeah."

me: "what'd you tell them??"
her: "well, when they told me they had to go into the house, I told them okay, but don't try to just walk into the house. make sure you knock. they kinda gave me a funny look, so I told them 'I love my babysitter. she takes care of my kids. and she will stake you. so when you go down there, knock. tell her your names. tell her who you are. tell her who you are with. tell her exactly what you are going to be doing, do it, and then go. she WILL stake you. she carries a sharp object on her at all times. she uses one to hold her hair up. and she will stake you with it. I love my babysitter.'"
me: *dies*
her: you should've seen him...his eyes got real big like "oh shit". when I told him to tell you who he was and who he's with, he nodded so hard I was thinking he'd come down here and try to give you his whole damn life story.
me: *tells her what happened*
her: *snickers* I dunno what you did then, cause when he came back up to the office, he gave me a look like "she's fucking CRAZY, I'm not doing that shit again!"



so yeah, um...me = amused.

a lot of work getting done on klove, finally, but this is kinda for my personal reference, so meh:
