good and bad:

good:
Kristy is gonna let me have my sundays again. I get to sleep as late as I want, but at midnight on sunday, I have to give her my keyboard and mouse, so she'll know I'm not staying up all night playing on the computer. I'm okay with that, sooo~

bad:
the other night, Brian was talking to me, and he MEANT to say "Kristy told me you...", but he said MY name instead. Kristy was right behind him. Yeah, he got smacked.

then tonight, Koda started to call her mommy my name. she's...not happy:\ obviously.

last night, we were looking at pics from when they brought Nathan home from the hospital, and Kristy said she just wished he knew his mommy. I told her he DOES know her...he always calls her "mama", and he looks at her when he says it. he also only gives his biggest smiles to her and to Koda. I get smiles of course, and I get laughs sometimes, but it's mama that gets the big big smiles.

she says she just needs a couple days alone with the kids, but when I pointed out that I'll be gone for a couple days in november, and maybe that will help, she says "no...he's probably going to go crazy while you're gone."

I feel guilty, not just cause of her, but Nathan too...cause, I mean, I love the kids, but I don't think of them as mine...not even Nathan who I HAVE pretty much raised so far. I hate that he's apparently looking to me as a "mommy", but I look at him like a nephew or a brother...:S

*sighs* I dunno. this really kinda sucks:\

ok, well...um, obviously, I got the videocard, and it's working...it's working quite well, actually:D

so yeah, besides taking care of kattunlove's header contest, I've been falling back in love with windows xp and sims3^_^;;

and coughing my lungs up.

yeah, I'm still sick. Koda is better, though she's coughing now too, and Nathan...well, Kristy says he's just mimicking me, but he has a runny nose too, so I think he's caught what I have, which isn't surprising since I'm the one that takes care of him the most.

oh oh oh! HE SAID HIS FIRST WORD:D he looked right at Kristy and said "mama" ^_^v

I thought babies didn't start talking til later, but apparently they might learn a word or two early, it's just that they won't be able to communicate more...intelligently until later. so says Kristy anyway.

I say he's already had his second word, but Kristy says no. You tell me:

I walked into the kids' room to get him out of the crib and said "hello peanut butt! hi~!" and he got this big grin and kicked his legs and said "Hi!"

since then, I've said different things to him in the morning, like "good morning" or "rise and shine", etc etc, but he only does his "hi!" when I say "hello" or "hi".

Kristy says it's just a sound, but technically, so is everything we say. The only difference is that we are able to tell what the sounds MEAN and use them in the right way. if he understands the sound enough to know when to say it, then shouldn't it count?

hmph.

Kristy's on my shit list anyway. she flat out accused me of paying more attention to my computer than I do the kids. the day she said it, she said I had been sending her messages all day instead of paying attention to the kids.

I messaged her a grand total of 4 times.

( lucky I havent kicked her ass yet. )
*sighs*

so yeah. I haven't had my lil discussion with her about that lovely morsel yet. I'm waiting til my throat is healed up, because when we DO have that discussion, I want to be able to deliver my opinion on what happened with quite a bit of volume.

so long in between actual posts, I know, but the whole voice posting idea kinda got ganked when Nathan was born, heh.

rough update:

Nathan was born 3 weeks early.
DOB: November 13th, 2009
Weight: 5lbs 14 oz

I forget length, and what time, but I know it was after 5:30am. They made her wait cause Kristy had just gotten done eating dinner.

Poor Koda...she didn't understand why mommy wasn't coming home from work when daddy did. She's adjusted though. She LOVES her lil brother, it's so cute. She wants to hold him and feed him and burp him, etc etc.

Kristy was just about crying over how Koda didn't even hesitate to start loving on him. She was worried that, like most kids, Koda would get jealous of Nate getting all the attention. Instead, we just about have to keep her away from the poor baby, lol.


um, what else...mom came to visit. She's been here for almost 3 weeks, but she spent most of it as sis' house.

The one week she was here, she read through my book so far and...loved it. Strangely enough.

she's christian-christian (as I've mentioned before, lol), and I use language that she doesn't approve of, as well as the book itself being based off the theory that the bible isn't quite right, but...yeah, I was pleasantly surprised.

sis even heard her talking to her boyfriend and said that "it's almost impossible to write a book these days without using bad language, but the book is so good, you don't really think about the words being used! the dialogue and the characters are sooo well done.." etc etc. and mom has also apparently told one of my cousins that she loves it and thinks that it would easily rival Twilight and Harry Potter.

I'm...not sure what to think, heh. it's good to know I have her support/fandom, but at the same time Harry Potter? Twilight? ...wow. (and how-tf did MY mother get into TWILIGHT, of all things?? though she says she only saw the first movie, and that's what she liked, but still...)

my brother and his wife came down from Oklahoma tonight, too. They're here to pick mom up and take her back home, but while they were here, we had a mini photofest for mom. She had us "girls" in matching shirts - which wasn't NEARLY as bad as I thought it would be...she actually picked a GOOD shirt! not one of those fluffy santa things *_* - and we took pics at IHOP, lol.

my brother...is finally taking steps to get closer, so I'm kinda happy with him. I like his wife, though I only got to meet her twice. She puts up with his bullshit, so she's golden XD

hmph, working on a layout for apop_newlooks (on livejournal). not much else to update on anyway:S
